Department Goals

 

The Department of Sociology & Social Work is pursuing the following objectives :

1 - Preparation of scientific competencies trained in the areas of social studies;

2 – Advance of scientific research in the field of social studies and pursuit of contributions to relevant research projects;

3 - Contribution to all programs of care and social development;

4 – Preparation of students for field deployment in various areas of social work to assist colleagues with the application of theoretical knowledge in their respective areas and with the process of being trained in certain social institutions and/or governmental organizations in various regions of the Kingdom where students are connected by association or other forms of participation;

5 – Facilitation of department trips and visits to scientific field work areas for all social and educational institutions related to the curriculum plan under the supervision of instructors applying appropriate school materials and experienced in the various activities conducted by linking theoretical and practical aspects;

6 - Cooperation [by section] with other bodies and research centers, particularly in the areas of security and social development;

7 - Participation in the negotiation and implementation of programs and training courses for personnel in the areas of security and social development;

8 – Preparation of professional manpower, rehabilitation of the Departmental Graduate Program, and recognition of individual contributions to science and research in the field of social sciences.
