The Executive Master's in Social Work (EMSW) Program

 

 

The KAU University Council approved during its fifth session held on June 29, 2011 the establishment of the Executive Master's in  Social Work (EMSW) Program and it will be managed by the Department of Sociology and Social Work at the College of Arts. The program is a professional qualification for social work, and it is designed to provide an effective balance of theory and practical experiences in the area of social work. Students will acquire the knowledge, theory, values and skills to deal with vulnerable individuals and groups in society. It will also enable them to develop the flexibility to work in any sector of social work - children and families, mental health, disabilities, vulnerable adults, the homeless, drug addicts and people who are in the criminal justice system.
