Abstract : What this study but an attempt to discover the extent of consumer use and understanding of the Saudi Information on Food Products (Identification Card) and the extent of his ability to understand, and on what basis is chosen for the product of many food products. Since consumer behavior is the basis of marketing operations and justification for its existence, the modern concept of marketing emphasizes the need to satisfy the consumer and satisfy the wishes and needs. And consumer behavior in a permanent change so it was necessary to follow this behavior studies of different marketing plans to configure the appropriate and consistent with the pattern of this behavior, but the researcher in this study focused on consumer behavior towards the Saudi card Identification of food commodities. The study included five chapters or sacrificed a researcher in the first quarter the overall framework for the study of the problem and the importance of the objectives, method, search method and so on. The second chapter has been the study of food and methods of food preservation and the importance of the food industry of the people and then present chapter also for consumer protection laws in the Kingdom, in the third quarter was the study of the Card Identification and previous studies in this area, and in the fourth quarter included a field study and Chapter V contained the results and recommendations study. • intensification of control by the consumer protection associations on the accuracy and clarity of written statements on the covers of food commodities. • Rationalization and consumer awareness of the importance of data written on food commodities. • increased attention to studies on factors influencing the purchasing behavior of consumers. • Urge the producers and importers of food items of interest to no health standards on the covers of food commodities. • interest statements that warn of damage to some components of the item on the health of the consumer. • need to focus on the translation of data written on the food commodities into Arabic • Convert to non-current weights weights generally accepted among consumers.
