All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessing be upon the master of mankind, Muhammad.
Henceforth:
This research revolves around the Islamic creed issues mentioned in Surat Al-Hijr with the aim of establishing and rooting it on the method of the people of Sunnah and Jamaa.
I have followed the deductive method for extracting the issues mentioned in the sura. Then, I have studied them by following the analytical method in order to identify the aspects of the verses significance in indicating these issues.
The research consists of an introduction, a preface, four chapters, and a conclusion followed by indexes.
The introduction has an explanation of the significance of the theme, reasons for choosing it, previous studies about it, the plan of the research, and its method.
As for the preface, it includes a description of the Sura, an elucidation of the characteristics of Makki Suras in general, and Surat Al-Hijr in particular.
The first chapter contains explanation of matters regarding belief in Allah the Almighty. The second chapter contains topics related to believing in angels to which I attached topics pertaining to jinn. The third chapter covers matters of believing in holy books and messengers of Allah. The fourth chapter handles matters of believing in the Doomsday, and issues of believing in fate (destiny).
This research was able to conclude that:
Surat Al-Hijr is a Makki Sura that stated the right creed by elaborating on the six pillars of faith. It also proved that with evidence which addressed the mind along with evidence carried on to us by the Messenger’s companions.
Of the most distinctive issues included in the Sura were the attesting of the oneness of Allah the Almighty, refuting Shirk (associating partners with Allah), warning disbelievers and refuting their arguments, proving of resurrection, and punishment and reward (at the Day of Judgment).
The Sura also mentioned the promise of Allah to preserve His Book, the refuting of those trying to suspect its validity and the validity of the prophethood of
Allah’s Messenger. It also showed ways of the support and entertaining given by Allah to His Messenger, peace be upon him.
One of the most important recommendations is the necessity of guiding the researchers’ interest to religiously studying Suras of the Quran that are not thoroughly researched yet because Quran is a primary source in clarifying and establishing the right creed.
