Abstract : One of the interesting phenomena is the annexation phenomenon. About which the Bedouin said: "it is something by which we confirm our words" i.e. affirmed and strengthened them. The annexation is to add one or more words to other meaningless words in order to strengthen them as well as being acoustically consistent with them. Due to complexity of the annexation subject over the phoneme, word, composition, and denotation; this research includes those sections that are contextually based on word weight or it’s tuning with the previous one in terms of similarity of movement at the end of the word, or its agreement with the prewords with regard to the weight and the rhyming letter. In this research which is named “the linguistic annexation-an empirical study on Al-Ittibaa’ and Al Muzawajjah book” written by: Abi Al-Hussein Ahmed Bin Faris (395 H)- we tried to highlight the linguistic phenomenon according to the levels of language such as phonological, grammatical, morphological and semantic in terms of theoretical and applicable concept on the words of Al-Ittibaa’ by: Abi Al-Hussein Ahmed Bin Faris, and if all mentioned in his book belongs to linguistic annexation field? To achieve this we set up some controls that we derived from extrapolating the views of scientists, both in the past and currently, this includes: 1- Annexation is distinguished from synonymy and accentuation in that it doesn't have any meaning if came alone. 2- If the second word has the same denotation of the previous word and it can be searched separately in dictionaries then it is a synonymy. 3- If the second word has an independent denotation which adds new meaning, or confirms the former meaning, then it is an accentuation. 4- If the second word is not containing any lexicographical denotation, nor could mentioned alone for an independent lexical meaning, so it is an annexation in addition to the terms of the weight and the rhyming letter.
