Abstract : All Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings of Allah be upon His honorable Prophet and Messenger. One of the most important objectives of Islam is maintaining the correct creed of monotheism in the hearts of the people, as it is the source of the real power of Muslims. Islam’s opponents have always realized this fact. Thus, they strived to combat it with various methods, among which is the intellectual war, which is considered one of their most dangerous means and more harmful and influential. It has adopted many names and its real goal is to alienate Muslims and detach them from their religion, making them fall in subordination to their enemies, particularly the West. Thus, it has been given these days the name of ‘westernization movement’. It has its severest impact on university students, particularly in this ‘age of openness’. Therefore, among the priorities that should be known is to realize this war, its threat, and the way of preventing and avoiding its harmful effects. Hence, this study is made which is based on several research methods in order to reach this truth and perceive it. Among such methods are: the descriptive, historical, critical, inductive and deductive methods. Undoubtedly, one of the necessary means for having a correct conception and understanding of this movement and its influence is following the track of its history, emergence and reasons for its existence, as well as identifying its means and methods upon which its advocates count for realizing their goals and intentions. It is acknowledged that one of the most dangerous goals of the westernization’s advocates, internally and externally, is to attract and propagate false ideas that contradict the Islamic creed so that it will be easy for them to realize their ends and cause corruption. Those enemies’ plot is enhanced when the land of the two holy mosques is their target, particularly those seeking knowledge with emphasis on university students. The leaders of this country, its honorable scholars and most men of reason, even its female university students, have perceived the danger of this movement and its impact on creed and conduct. Therefore, it is necessary to care for studying this movement, and follow up the course of its effects, in addition to exposing its threat and, accordingly, establishing rules and fundamentals for uncovering its reality, with taking the best methods for combating it and eliminating its impact. This will only be realized upon returning to the Book of Allah, and the tradition of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, together with enjoining virtues and forbidding vices, seeking to gather, in support, around the rulers and scholars, and taking precautions against the enemies’ plots and their waiting for turns of misfortune to Muslims.
