Abstract : The pre-Islamic Arab wars are considered one of the most important documents which were used as sources for writing tales about that age. These literary works included mythological tales; these tales represent almost untrue creeds and sanctities, dating back to the ancient ages. The tales of Arab wars whether in literature books (in which the majority of the tales are found) or in history books were no more than scattered epics and mythologies which later turned into popular epics that have spread in time and place. If Arabic news tradition was devoid of mythology in its primitive sense of the concept of the evolution of the universe, it still contained some remains of mythologies that were widespread in the Semitic or Arabic civilization. However, Arab wars had their important roles in recording news narratively with miniatures of old creeds. The mythological dimensions emerged clearly in the tales of Arab wars as those tales dealt with the establishing grounds for the Arab wars, such as forming family trees including Arab tribes who had participated in the pre-Islamic conflicts that resulted in wars which eradicated some Arab tribes, and the conquests of the Yemen kings which later mixed the mythology with history. These mythological dimensions gained their prime importance by writing semi mythological narratives about the emergence of knights to the sanctity which kings and leaders of that time had enjoyed. They were accompanied by a few miracles which were attributed to world heroes by those books. Furthermore, these mythologies included some cases of recording captures, murders of knights and offering them as immolations to Gods or killing them by those who were inferior to them, and then seeking revenge for their death. These cases apply to the ways Arab wars heroes handled matters with their surroundings. Such were the mythologies recorded by the ancient news scribes who flavored them with the spirit of the primitive life.
